Last Friday night, luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz unveiled their latest model car in a private estate at Pebble Beach Golf Course in Carmel, California.

Dubbed as the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 Cabriolet, the car was officially launched at the 2017 Monterey Car Week. Maybach Vision 6 Cabriolet is the newest addition to Mercedes’ line of luxury convertibles that run on electricity. With its sleek and glamorous design, Mercedes’ new model car is just simply stunning.

In a statement published on Mercedes-Benz’s website, Chief Design Officer of Daimler AG, Gorden Wagener was quoted as saying:

“The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet takes modern luxury into the realms of the ultimate in luxury and is the perfect embodiment of our design strategy. Breathtaking proportions combined with a luxurious haute couture interior help to create the ultimate experience.”

Mercedes’ New Model Car: What Maybach Vision 6 Cabriolet has to Offer

Mercedes’ new concept car is powered by electricity and is almost 20 feet long. The vehicle comes packed with 750 horsepower, with a range of over 200 miles on a single battery charge.

This latest model car has the same engine with its predecessor, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 that was unveiled last year at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

According to Mercedes, the Maybach Vision 6 Cabriolet model car can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds, with a top speed of over 155 mph. Equipped with Mercedes’ exclusive new ‘super’ charger, the vehicle can reach a 60-mile range in just five minutes of charging.

Mercedes’ New Model Car: Design and Features

Looking closely at the Maybach Vision 6 Cabriolet, it’s not hard to notice how unique this new concept car is. Its nautical blue metallic paintwork contrasted with chrome highlights gives the model car pure definition.

The ‘boat tail’ design of the Vision 6 Cabriolet rear resembles those of a luxury yacht with narrow tail lights that emphasizes the width of the vehicle. It has a radiator-style grilled that was inspired by a pinstriped suit and accentuates the front end of the car.

The interior of the model car is covered in Crystal white high-quality Nappa leather. “The custom-made fabric top with interwoven rose gold threads has been perfectly coordinated with the look of the vehicle.”

The flawless design of the Maybach Vision 6 Cabriolet from the rear to the interior can give anyone the feeling of being on a yacht. “A light wing flows in a curve across the door trim and the center tunnel into the seat landscape, creating a 360° open-air luxury lounge.”

The concept car is also equipped with touch controls and intelligent navigation that can be linked to appointment calendars and a voice-activated concierge system. The seats are joined together by long, flowing lines from the car’s center console, through the dash, and around the backseat.

Another feature emphasized by Mercedes is the floating center tunnel.

“The open-pore wood floor with inlaid aluminum underscores the lounge sensation and the connection to yachting. Another highlight comes courtesy of the floating, transparent center tunnel, which visualizes the drive system’s electrical energy flow for the passengers by means of blue fiber optics.”

Indeed, the Maybach Vision 6 Cabriolet’s curved body, stretched hood, and shaped sides combined with the latest car technology defines the future of luxury vehicles. However, this new model car from Mercedes won’t hit the market anytime soon.

According to Mercedes, the concept car is just a one-of-one example of the company’s vision for the vehicles it will manufacture by 2035 onward.
