The U.S. Air Force is continuing the development and deployment of its Cyber Mission Platform (CMP) with a Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) contract.

According to reports, the NOC contract is worth $9.4 million USD and has a one-year base period. It was said to be a part of the three-year task order by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division which aims to further develop and deploy the Air Force’s Cyber Mission Platform (CMP).

The contract also saw Northrop expanding its presence in San Antonio. Last week, the company announced that it had signed a 5-year lease with Port San Antonio to occupy 7,700 square feet at the port on Billy Mitchell Boulevard.
