All aspiring gamers should be familiar with the Steam summer sale. Here we share some of the best deals you can find right now on video games on the Steam platform.

Due to market saturation and cost, there are plenty of games I haven’t picked up yet. I’m sure many of you find yourselves in the same situation.

That’s why we pragmatic gamers wait for the beloved Steam summer sale.

Let’s review some of the best deals going on right now and what else Steam has in store.

Retro and Recent Classics for 50% off or More

E3 did not give us Fallout 5, but the confirmed Fallout 76 reinvigorated interest in the franchise. In preparation for the new game’s release, you can pick up games in the Fallout franchise for 30 – 75% right now.

You can also pick up The Witcher III: Wild Hunt which many (including myself) regard as one of the best open world games of all time. The base game and the two DLCs are between 50 and 60% off.

In that same vein, pick up Divinity: Original Sin 2 even though it is only 20% off. This incredible game doesn’t go on sale often, so get in while the getting is good.

For more nostalgia, grab games in the Sonic franchise for up to 85% off.

The Civilization game franchise also has some insane sales with Civ 6 being 60% off right now. Other games in the series are up to 75% off, but don’t make Gandhi angry.

The Steam Summer Sale also has the Halo Wars Definitive Edition for 50% off.

Games Worth Picking up (Especially on Sale)

West of Loathing is a cute indie stick-figure RPG. It takes place in a wild west setting and features combat, inventory management, and everything you’d expect from a Diablo-style RPG game. It’s also available on PC, Mac, and Linux OSes for about $8 USD right now.

Telltale might not be an indie studio anymore, but this is still a really good deal. You can pick up the sequel to their Batman entry for 40% off right now.

Before the next game’s release, you should really pick up Rise of the Tomb Raider. It’s just $18 USD right now and the fantastic gameplay will get you prepped for the new game. The original reboot game is also just $3 USD right now — by the way.

If you haven’t played it yet, Bioshock Infinite is just $8 USD right now. It’s one of the coolest game series in terms of concept and a total bargain at this price.

Ori and the Blind Forest has a sequel coming out soon, so grab the original game for 50% off right now. For the exact opposite experience in a game, pick up Warhammer: Vermintide 2 for 34% off. It’s basically a zombie horde mode game with giant rats.

For soccer/football fans, Rocket League is also 50% off right now. For some hilarious destruction action, check out Besiege for just $6 USD.

Transistor gets difficult, but its fantastic animation and soundtrack make up for the challenging gameplay. Pick up this indie gem for 75% off now.

Oh, and PUBG is 33% off or you can play Fortnite PVP for free (I’m not biased).

What games do you most want to pick up in this year’s Steam summer sale?
