Two airline pilots recently reported UFO sightings while flying over the state of Arizona.

A radio broadcast released this month by the Federal Aviation Administration reveals recent UFO sightings reported by two commercial flight pilots from different airlines flying over Arizona.

The incident reportedly occurred on the afternoon of February 24th. According to reports, one of the pilots, who was flying a Learjet, saw an unidentified flying object passing above his plane. This prompted him to contact the regional air traffic controller center located in Albuquerque.

The pilot inquired, while stammering, whether there was a vessel recognized passing above them just 30 seconds ago.

“Negative,” the air traffic controller responded quickly.

“Okay,” the pilot went on to say. “Something did.”

“A UFO!” someone was heard saying.

“Yeah,” the pilot then confirmed with a chuckle.

Just a few minutes after the brief conversation, the air traffic controller contacts another airliner also flying within the airspace of Arizona. He asked them to look out for anything that might pass over them in the next 15 miles.

“American 1095, uh, let me know if, uh, you see anything pass over you here in the next, uh, 15 miles.”

The other pilot, who was reportedly operating an American Airlines Airbus A321, responded in a seemingly confused voice.

“If anything passes over?” he asked.

The air traffic controller is then heard discussing the situation about an earlier unexplained sighting while the Learjet pilot clarified what he apparently saw, or did not see.

“I don’t know what it was, it wasn’t an airplane, but it was — the path was going in the opposite direction.”

A minute later, the American Airlines pilot contacted the air traffic controller to report that he saw something pass over them.

“Hey, it’s American 1095 here. Something just passed us, like a, I don’t know what it was. But it was at least 2 to 3,000 feet above us. Yeah, it passed right over the top of us,” the pilot confirmed.

The controller tried to get as much information as he can, asking the pilot if the unidentified flying object was moving or just hovering.

“I couldn’t make it out if it was a balloon or whatnot, but it was just really beaming light or had a big reflection and several thousand feet above us going the opposite direction,” the American Airlines pilot responded.

The controller then asked if it could just possibly be a Google balloon.

“Doubtful,” the pilot said.

It is still entirely unclear whether the two pilot reports could be considered as UFO sightings. To date, the FAA declines to give any comment about what transpired on that day. In a statement released to the media, the FAA said:

“We don’t have any comment beyond what you hear. We have a close working relationship with a number of other agencies and safely handle military aircraft and civilian aircraft of all types in that area every day, including high-altitude weather balloons.”

The new UFO sightings come a few months after a video taken by a U.S. Navy pilot surfaced online, giving the public a glimpse of an alleged highly secretive government program investigating UFOs.
